Under the guidance of  San Diego’s finest bassists and educators- Gunnar Bigs, Bob Magnusson and Jeremy Kurtz, Harley received his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance in 2008 from San Diego State University.

An active performer and artist in the local music scene, Harley has performed with a number of artists/groups as a sideman and co-leader.  He currently collaborates and performs with Tori Roze and The Hot Mess, Ensemble Off n On, Oudelia, Tokeli, Leonard Patton, Nathan Hubbard’s Group,  and Ben Schachter’s Occidentia.

He is currently teaching at Greene Music, San Diego Music, and Twentyman’s School of Music.
